EON Organics, like many EON products, was born from a seed, an idea that germinated when Jamie Danek settled (briefly) in Colorado in 1994. Having traveled the globe and then throughout the US, Jamie had sought and gathered along her way herbal and natural ingredients that had been used for centuries in rural villages and towns far from large factories and away from the blaring lights of shopping malls and discount pharmacies. Unable to find natural, herbal products where she lived, she drew upon what she had learned in her travels and then looked to the soil and the sunlight around her. Jamie began to experiment, combining the knowledge she had gathered with the fresh plants that grew all around her to create her own uniquely inspired, natural remedies. As the plants grew – in her window boxes and on her front porch – so too did Jamie 's passion for crafting natural healing products, originally made for personal and family use but then – by request and growingly popular demand -- quickly shared with family and friends.

"Eye of newt, and toe of frog, wool of bat, and tongue of dog, adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting, lizard's leg, and howlet's wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble."

These lines -- uttered by the weird sisters in Macbeth as they stirred their boiling cauldron --became like a mantra for Jamie as she concocted her own healing “potions” -- creams, butters, lotions, sprays and salves. No witch was Jamie, but -- in the early 1990's -- natural care and healing herbal products did not enjoy the wide acceptance they do today. As the Fates would have it, the world has indeed continued to change…and Jamie again traveled on. In 1996, she left behind the mountains of Colorado for the more gently rolling hills of rural Bucks County , Pennsylvania . She brought with her the vision – and the healing recipes -- that had been born (and borne) from the places she had been.

It was in Bucks County that another traveler alit…just around the corner. From across oceans and islands and continents, enter the intrepid New Zealander Denise Orloff , an artist and visionary with a ribald sense of humor. Denise too had cultivated an interest and passion for natural, herbal and aromatherapy products from all over the world. She was introduced to Eye of Newt -- and Jamie -- through a fortuitous gift of Eye of Newt products shortly after her arrival in Doylestown. Realizing the synergy offered by combining their mutual interests and passion as well as their unique and diverse experiences, Denise and Jamie enthusiastically began working together to realize an integrated vision of all-natural nourishing, soothing, and healing products, for use in life's everyday happenings, available to non-family members (extended family, really!).

Jamie and Denise have become fast friends and creative partners, sharing each other's dreams and bringing to EON the joy that they experience in their lives as evolving young mothers. As part of a daily routine, the inclusion of plant essences can accentuate health, energy, and vitality in our lives. Working with these essences – and together -- has inspired the growth and expansion of the company and has generated a wider range of products that EON now shares with you.
